I had been so looking forward to reading this book, and it didn't disappoint! Lily is still such a fun character and I love her little quips and sayings that have to do with the ocean Another "bad boy" type that isn't really a bad boy.
This book is definitely a light, fun read. I'm not sure if there is going to be a This was a great, fun sequel to Forgive My Fins! I'm not sure if there is going to be a third book in the series, but if there is one, I'll definitely be picking it up!

Nov 11, Stephanie M. Just as much fun as the first one! I love that this trilogy is simple, light-hearted fantasy without an epic villain to worry about. It makes for a fun escape from the world for a little while. Yet another great underwater story filled with adventures, love and many mishaps. I love Lily and her crazy life, funny jealous and sarcastic boyfriend Quince, and of course everything in her life is turned upside down in the novel where she begins to feel the pressures of her actions and choices and needs to decide what is best for both herself and her kingdom.
God, I c Yet another great underwater story filled with adventures, love and many mishaps. About when he kisses her and when she can barely resist the temptation to touch his biceps at random. And best of all I love when she gets distracted and comes up with funny excuses to her actions. The character of Lily is a funny awkward girl that carries the world on her shoulders while still trying to remain normal. This merprincess knows how to hold her own and make a mark in the life of those around her.
The fin flicking tale leaves me wanting more of everything. Sure the romance is fantastic in this novel but the mishaps, the characters, and the beautifully described underwater worlds are what make me want to come back and read more. I just love it all. Lily—very funny, very strong, and very very stubborn.
Quince—this man can be jealous over me anytime. Those biceps, that smile, the wink, the sarcasm, the biker boots, and the love that he has for Lily. Tellin—this is going to get very interesting Doe—I like her role in this one Brody—I like him better in this one Bad: Sadly because Quince and Lily are finally together their banter and sarcasm is less and less and I found this one not as funny as the first. In the first even when they were yelling at each other I was smiling and laughing.
But if I have to settle for them being in love…well I guess I can. Overall Writing style, story line, and general: I never find anything wrong with it and never have to re-read it. And the fact that she can remember to put in so much aquatic related slang makes me quite proud to list her as one of my favourite readers. Overall this book was an aquatic adventure that brought me into another world, made me think about our actual world and environment and left me smiling and utterly happy.
If you are a mermaid lover, or someone who loves a romantic comedy of sorts this is one for you.
Jan 18, Kyleigh rated it liked it. Get A Copy; So I devoured this in one sitting, and in just a few hours.
One thing I love about Tera's writing is her ability to suck you in and never want to look away from the pages. I ended up having rather mixed feelings about this.
Maybe it's because I just finished it and haven't had time to process. I just feel like this was filled with so much drama. Tera was feeding the drama llama as I like to say. It was a bit overwhelming to be honest. Lily and Quince overcame the biggest obstacles in the first b So I devoured this in one sitting, and in just a few hours. Lily and Quince overcame the biggest obstacles in the first book, to finally reach their happy ending.
They love each other, Lily will be on land to be with Quince, and all without the bond. Diabetes Type 1? They deserved some couple time. Did they get it? Dosinia's action for one were completely unbelievable to me. I don't think I could ever forgive her actions just because of a little temper tantrum and a mediocre half-hearted "plan". Plus with what ends up happening with Brody? She really is the spoiled little inconsiderate brat Lily knows she is.
However, Doe became likeable towards the end. Doesn't really make up for her earlier blind hatred, but I didn't end up hating her. Lily truly is successful in "reforming" her, but just the fact she had to to begin with was rather annoying. I was dealing with Doe in the plot just fine until Tellin came into the picture.
Tellin is one of Lily's closest childhood friends. He also happens to be the crown prince of the neighboring kingdom. See where this is going? He just complicated things and made them more pressing. The drama llama strikes again.
I still really like Lily and Quince. I think they're fabulous together and have a great relationship. Yet, they're relationship doesn't shine through at all in this book and it kind of disappointed me. And if the way this one ended is any indication, there will be further drama to come in the third. And I just have this awful feeling that things are going to get beyond complicated in the most ridiculous sort of way. I've come to a conclusion about these books. I greatly enjoy them.
